The role

What you'll actually be doing.

No busy-work. No mystery boxes. You'll handle real orders for real U.S. small businesses — every package logged, every step traceable.

Receive incoming inventory

Sellers ship product to your address (typically 3–8 packages per workday). You scan, photograph, and confirm everything in the dashboard.

Quality-check every item

Quick visual inspection. Damaged or wrong items get flagged — you don't ship them onward, and the seller is notified automatically.

Pack outgoing orders

The dashboard tells you what to pack and how. You assemble each order, print the prepaid label, and box it up. We provide all packing supplies.

Hand off to the carrier

Drop packages at USPS, UPS, or FedEx — whichever is closest. Most Specialists do one drop-off run per day. Carrier pickup is also available.

A day in the life

A real Tuesday for Maria, in Phoenix.

Maria has been a Supply Specialist for 8 months. Here's what her workday looks like.

9:00
Coffee. Open the dashboard — 6 incoming packages flagged for today, 4 outgoing orders queued.
10:30
UPS drops off 4 boxes from a Shopify seller in Texas. Scan, photograph, confirm. Takes about 12 minutes total.
12:00
Lunch break. Walk the dog. No micromanagement — your hours, your schedule.
14:00
Pack 4 outgoing orders using the dashboard's pick-list. Print prepaid labels. Wrap, label, set aside.
15:30
Quick run to the post office. 5-minute drop-off. Day's quota — done.
16:00
Logged 4 outgoing + 6 incoming. Today's earnings: $56 bonus + base. Logout.

Most days take 3–5 hours of active work. The dashboard tells you what's next — you're never guessing.

"I started Nexa because I watched too many small sellers get crushed by 3PL minimums. We're built around them — not the other way around."

"Every Specialist gets my direct number on day one. If something's off, you call me — not a chatbot. That's a non-negotiable around here."

Common questions

Stuff you're probably thinking.

Yes. Nexa is a registered U.S. business headquartered in California, EIN on request. Our leadership team has verifiable LinkedIn profiles linked above. You can also call our main line during business hours and reach a real human.
Never. You only ever handle packages of physical goods — clothing, household items, supplements, books, that kind of thing. You will not be asked to receive cash, money orders, gift cards, jewelry, electronics, prescription drugs, or anything that's not standard retail inventory. We don't reship packages from unknown addresses, and we don't handle anyone's personal mail.
Zero. We provide all packing supplies (boxes, tape, labels, printer paper, scale) and pay for any postage. If you don't have a printer, we'll help you get one — it's deducted gradually from earnings, not paid upfront. We will never ask you to pay for training, equipment, or 'system access'.
Standard 1099 contractor paperwork — W-9 form and a government ID — only after we make you a written offer. Never during application or interview. We'll never ask for your Social Security number, bank login, or copies of utility bills upfront.
Monthly by default — direct deposit, gross before taxes. After you complete your 60-day probation period, you can request to switch to bi-weekly pay if that works better for your budget.
Yes — anywhere in the 50 states. Most of our Specialists are in suburban or smaller-city areas (less competition for post-office runs). You don't need to live near our California HQ.
Give us 2 weeks notice. You'll be paid for all completed work through your final day, on the next regular pay cycle. No clawbacks, no penalties.
